The story is set in 1987, Brooklyn, NY. Three Jewish widows, Ida, Doris, and Lucille have been friends for years. When their husbands were alive, the six of them would go on vacations and cruises and go out together all the time. Now that they have passed on, the girls meet once a month to go to the cemetery and visit their husbands and then go back to Ida's house for tea and the latest gossip. Problems arise when Sam, the local butcher (also a widower), sweeps in and gets Ida thinking that perhaps it is time to move on, threatening to disrupt the group. This charming play will draw you into the lives of these women and have you nearly falling out of your chair from laughter and will truly touch your heart.
